Green Tea Health Benefit
Every tea is made from same plant, Camellia Sinensis. How it is processed is the difference among black tea, green tea or other teas. Green tea contains several polyphenolic compounds that give tea its characteristic taste, flavour and colour. The most significant polyphenols present in green tea are Catechins, which are very beneficial antioxidants.
Oolong tea is a semi-fermented tea with curly, dark green leaves. When brewed, it has a dark golden brown hue, a strong smooth and slightly baked taste, a strong aroma, and a lingering aftertaste. Oolong tea is most commonly enjoyed in Taiwan and southern China and the tea of choice in many Chinese restaurants.
Let the water come to a boil and then let it cool for five minute before pouring over the tea, using about a teaspoon of tea per 8 oz. cup. Let it steep for about three to five minutes and drink, or remove the leaves (if using an infuser). The tea can be used for a second brewing.
